The Children & Young People's Service has two outdoor centres located in coastal and forest environments; the Bristol Schools Camp at Exmouth, Devon & the Dean Field Studies Centre at Parkend in the Forest of Dean. They both offer a wide variety of outdoor & adventurous activities and residential educational experiences. In order to find out more about each centre and obtain booking information, please follow the links on the left.
The Service also offers a general advisory facility regarding the suitability of many other outdoor activity providers, training opportunities for teaching staff, Health and Safety information, and queries on the "Off Site Visits" Policy which was updated in May 2006.
Please note: “Off-site Visits” notification forms for all residential overnight trips and Category ‘C’ outdoor & adventurous activities should now be sent directly to:- CYPS Health and Safety Team, The Council House, College Green, Bristol, BS99 7EB. Fax: 0117-90 37775
4 weeks notification is required for UK based visits and 6 weeks for all overseas trips.
