Internet safety and model policies on the acceptable use of the internet for schools

Any school using the Children and Young People’s Services Intranet or the Internet (World Wide Web) should have a policy regarding acceptable use, and should also provide guidelines for teachers and advice for parents or guardians. The policy should be approved by governors and shared with all staff, pupils and parents or guardians. Any pupil using the Intranet / Internet without close supervision should have the signed permission of a parent or guardian.

In order to save you time and effort a model ICT policy with guidelines on use, plus a sample poster, letter of advice for parents, and consent form are available in Word format and can be viewed in your browser or saved onto your PC for editing according to your requirements.

To view a document, click on the link and it should display. Do not try and save the displayed document. You will then need to click on the Back button to return to this page.
