The Local Authority adopted an Inclusive Education Policy in 1998 which had a clear statement of principle on the inclusion of pupils with additional needs and disabled pupils.
However, this was reviewed and updated in 2006 to include a more holistic approach to inclusion and to address all equalities issues. It also links with the Bristol Inclusion Standard criteria.
