Determined Admission Arrangements Academic Year 2009/2010

Following consultation and in accordance with the School Admissions Code, the Admission Arrangements (including Admission Numbers) for all Bristol Community and Voluntary Controlled schools for the academic year 2009/2010; the Coordinated Admission Schemes for the school year 2009/2010; and the In Year Admission Policy for 2008/2009 have been determined.

The policies for first admission to infant, junior, primary and secondary school; admission numbers for 2009/2010; procedure for in year admissions; the coordinated admission schemes; and maps showing the areas of first priority for Henbury, Portway Community and Redland Green Schools and a map of the area of second priority for Redland Green School are all available by using the links on the left.

The Schools Adjudicator has a key role in ensuring a fair admissions system by enforcing the requirements of the School Admissions Code which came into force on 28 February 2007.

Formal objections to the determined admission arrangements may be made to the Schools Adjudicator. The website of the Office of the Schools' Adjudicator can be found by using the the link on the right.

Some voluntary aided schools have requested the Local Authority to publish, on their behalf, the determined admission arrangements for 2009/2010. These are also available using the links on the left.

Any objections to these arrangements can also be made to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator.
