Catching in the Rye

Catching in the Rye 2007-8 is a local assessment of children and young people's needs and views and information on services designed to support them. The assessment underpins the development and review of the Bristol Children and Young People's Plan and other inter-agency planning processes.

Please follow the link on the right Catching in the Rye 2007-08 - Needs Assessment. There you will find a searchable database, plus an Excel spreadsheet as well as an Adobe Acrobat file (pdf).

The information is structured by the five 'Every Child Matters' outcomes and provides information about each of these themes. In line with our model of One City - 3 Areas - 10 Localities, information is provided at all these levels.

For further information on Catching in the Rye and needs assessment generally, please contact Claudia McConnell, Programme Director, Health Partnership, CYPS at claudia.mcconnell@bristol.gov.uk. We hope that this document is of interest and use to you.
